In 2013, Andy and Brook Stowers, a couple from Wisconsin, set out on a new adventure as empty nesters. They relocated to Litchfield, Connecticut, and took over an upscale restaurant in Saltwater Grille, a well-regarded family-owned restaurant in Connecticut. When the pandemic led to restaurant closures, they adapted by launching Salt 2.0—a takeout-only concept that quickly gained popularity for its fresh food made to order in Connecticut. Its success led to expansions in Torrington and Brookfield, Connecticut, establishing Salt 2.0 as a quick-service restaurant with an innovative approach to modern dining. With a diverse menu catering to vegetarian, pescatarian, vegan, gluten-free, and traditional diets, Salt 2.0 offers something for everyone, positioning itself as a healthy restaurant choice in Connecticut.
The new Salt 2.0 website serves as a key platform for the restaurant, making it easy for customers to explore the menu, place online orders, and learn about the restaurant’s catering services in Connecticut. The website also enhances brand visibility by showcasing Salt 2.0's story, menu options, and convenient ordering system, which help attract and retain customers searching for user-friendly restaurant online ordering.
One of the key challenges in creating the new Salt 2.0 website was transitioning the restaurant menus from static PDFs to an interactive, on-site format, making it easier for customers to browse customizable grain bowls, fresh Mexican food, and other healthy menu options in Connecticut. The new website design needed to be visually engaging, align with the restaurant's color guide, and incorporate high-quality food images provided by the client. Additionally, achieving an intuitive user experience across all devices was essential, ensuring visitors could easily access key information like Salt 2.0 locations, menu categories, and catering options on any screen size.
Our web design team collaborated closely with digital marketing experts to apply data-driven restaurant marketing strategies that optimized the website’s performance. The goal was to ensure the restaurant website design effectively reached and engaged the target audience, helping Salt 2.0 increase online visibility and streamline its ordering process.

Visitors could seamlessly navigate to specific location pages for Litchfield, Torrington, and Brookfield to view operating hours, menu selections, and local ordering options. High-quality food images immediately captured users’ attention, while the cohesive color scheme reinforced the restaurant’s brand identity and created a welcoming online experience.
