Our client, Huntingdon County Business and Industry, had an existing website that needed a design update. The HCBI Team needed to have a system that let them handle the updates on their own, but the software used to build the website required that they work with their developers. A change as small as adding a new member profile to the website’s member page required an expert to get involved.

Our Solution

Although expensive software that can only be edited by experts may seem like the top-notch route to take for a business’s website, it’s not always the best option. In fact, it can lead to more problems than it’s worth. That’s why we helped HCBI develop a simple, easy-to-manage website that’s just as effective - and even more efficient - than their previous one. We chose to develop the site on the Wix Platform.

We know that each client is different, so for this project, we surveyed a range of technologies to meet HCBI’s needs, the main one being a platform that would support member bios. Eventually, we landed on our winner: Wix’s Content Manager.

The Wix Content Manager lets clients to create and update content without having to work directly through the Wix Editor, which could alter the design of the website. That means business owners who don’t feel comfortable editing the website itself can easily manage the content within the website.

Through Wix Content Manager, we designed a system through which HBCI members could easily and regularly be updated. In fact, updating the website is as simple as filling in a Google Form to generate new pages. That’s a task any business owner can handle, no matter how tech-savvy!

Now, each form submission automatically updates the members section of HBCI’s website.

A new page is automatically generated for each member, complete with the description, logo, and website links - just like this one.

Even better, this takes practically no time at all. It’s all completed at once in a single, five-minute process. That means, with a platform like this, business owners can spend less time stressing over each update that needs to be made to their website and more time focusing on the things that really matter.

The Final Result
